1 Application routes

VIZJA University students should first clarify their degree programme’s internship requirements. Students at other Polish universities and universities abroad should confirm their sending institution’s agreement, supervision and assessment requirements.

Acceptance depends on suitable tasks, supervision and completion of necessary arrangements. Applying for membership does not secure an internship place.

2 Educational purpose

Tasks may include corpus preparation and annotation, translation and terminology work, development of learning resources or academic event communication. Every task must have a clear learning purpose and appropriate supervision.

An internship must not be treated as unrestricted availability for unrelated work. Tasks, workload and expected skills should match the student’s preparation and agreed learning outcomes.

3 Before the start

Submit the initial application with programme of study, proposed dates, learning interests and required hours or documents. Agree the mode of participation: on-site, online or blended, subject to task suitability and institutional requirements.

Confirm the learning plan, dates, hours, named supervisor, activities, assessment and required agreement or referral. Any insurance, safety, travel, accommodation, accessibility or financial arrangements are clarified before commencement.

No fixed duration, credit value or recognition is implied. The sending institution determines whether the placement satisfies its programme requirements.

4 Supervised practice

The student follows the agreed plan, keeps a work log and discusses progress at agreed intervals. The supervisor provides guidance, reviews work and addresses difficulties promptly.

Use of software, laboratory equipment, corpora and personal data requires relevant permissions and training. Student work is shared publicly only where rights and permissions allow.

5 Completion

The student submits a portfolio or other agreed output and a reflective final report. The supervisor assesses performance against the learning outcomes and verifies the activity record.

The completion record identifies actual dates, verified hours where required, tasks and assessment. The sending institution makes the final decision on academic credit. Incomplete work is described accurately.

6 Changes and concerns

A change to tasks, hours, supervision or dates requires agreement and, where relevant, approval by the sending institution. Withdrawal and interruption arrangements include a proportionate handover.

Concerns may be raised with the supervisor, Director or the relevant University office. A complaint involving the supervisor should have an alternative contact through those channels.

7 Documentation

The file normally includes an application, required agreement or referral, learning plan, activity log, final report and supervisor assessment. Approved University forms take precedence over the Centre’s working templates.
