Prepared and last updated: 19 October 2026
ARCTIS aims to make the information on arctiscenter.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This page explains the current review status and how to request help with website content.
Scope and current status
This statement concerns the ARCTIS website. It does not certify the accessibility of external project sites, social media, university systems or the physical campus. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the reference target for future accessibility improvements, rather than a claim of achieved conformity.
A limited internal review of page structure, visible text and desktop layout was carried out on 19 October 2026 using Chrome. A complete accessibility audit has not been performed. Conformance with WCAG has therefore not been established. Screen-reader compatibility, full keyboard journeys, high-zoom behaviour and mobile layouts still require systematic testing.
Features and ways to navigate
The website includes a “Skip to content” link, page headings, a consistent navigation menu and contact links. These provide ways to move around the content. You can use your browser’s zoom and text-size controls, and its reading mode where available. Keyboard users can move between focusable controls with Tab and Shift+Tab and activate links with Enter. If you encounter a control or page that you cannot use, please report it using the contact below.
Limitations and areas to review
Some paragraphs use justified alignment, which can produce uneven spaces between words and make reading harder for some visitors. Photographs, graphics, linked media and any downloadable materials require individual checks for suitable text alternatives, captions, reading order and accessible formatting. Accessibility of external platforms cannot be guaranteed by this website. Please contact us if you need the information in another format.
The presence of accessibility features does not mean every page or interaction has been verified. Remaining checks include keyboard operation of menus, focus visibility, heading order, colour contrast, content reflow and compatibility with assistive technology.
Report a problem or request an alternative
Email Prof. Yan Kapranov at y.kapranov@vizja.pl, preferably with the subject “ARCTIS accessibility”. Include the page address, a brief description of the difficulty, the information you need and your preferred reply or document format. If relevant, you may mention your browser or assistive technology. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or medical documentation.
We will review the request and discuss a practical way to provide the information, such as a plain-text explanation or an alternative document format. If your request is time-sensitive, please mention the relevant date. The same contact can be used to follow up an unresolved issue.
University support and further information
For campus access and university-wide support, consult VIZJA University’s accessibility information or the Office for Persons with Disabilities. Those resources concern their stated university services; they are not evidence that this separate website has been audited.
This statement will be revised as checks and improvements are completed. For information about correspondence and personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
